Welcome to the roll-call. Italian Brainrot is less one meme than an entire chaotic zoo of AI-generated creatures, each with its own pretend-Italian name, its own endless rhyming monologue, and its own made-up "lore" that fans argue about in powerscaling videos. Here's who's who.
Below each entry links to the character's dedicated page. A handful of major figures get their own in-depth write-ups; others live on here in brief.
The originals
Tralalero Tralala
The one that started it all — a shark wearing Nike-style sneakers, who debuted in January 2025 and kickstarted the entire trend. Its signature robotic chant gave the genre its founding sound. Goes by several spellings (Tralalelo, Tralalá). → Full profile: tralalero-tralala
Bombardiro Crocodilo
A crocodile whose body is a World War II-era twin-prop bomber plane. One of the trend's most famous and most controversial figures, thanks to narration some viewers read as making light of conflict in Gaza. Also spelled "Bombardino." → Full profile: bombardiro-crocodilo
The fan-favorites
Lirili Larila
A bipedal cactus-elephant hybrid who plods through the desert in big sandals (often drawn as flippers or Birkenstocks), trailed by a floating alarm clock. Reportedly best friends with Frulli Frulla — and, in fan lore, a formidable time-controlling fighter. → Full profile: lirili-larila
Brr Brr Patapim
A forest/tree-and-monkey hybrid with oversized feet, famous for its shaggy, mossy look and its late-March 2025 powerscaling battles against Tung Tung Tung Sahur. → Full profile: brr-brr-patapim
Ballerina Cappuccina
A graceful ballerina in a tutu and pointe shoes — with a cappuccino mug for a head. One of the cutest (and most merchandised) characters of the genre, and reportedly the most popular with tween audiences. → Full profile: ballerina-cappuccina
Tung Tung Tung Sahur
An anthropomorphic wooden log wielding a bat, born from the Indonesian "Anomali" AI trend and inspired by the traditional kentungan drum used to wake people for the pre-dawn Ramadan meal of sahur. Indonesian in origin, it became one of the most famous "brainrot" characters on the planet. → Full profile: tung-tung-tung-sahur
The extended universe
These creatures round out the lore and frequently appear in crossovers, battles and family trees:
- Bombombini Gusini — A goose with fighter-jet wings and missile launchers; in the lore, Bombardiro Crocodilo's brother.
- Frulli Frulla — A recurring character cited as Lirili Larila's best friend, part of the "figure-blender" slice of the trend.
- Trippi Troppi Troppa Trippa — Often shown as a cat with a shrimp's body (though one popular design is an obese bear with a fish's head, nicknamed the "King of the Sea").
- Chimpanzini Bananini — A chimpanzee with a banana for a body, described in some rankings as "indestructible" and one of the genre's "main characters."
- Cappuccino Assassino — A ninja; in fan lore, the husband of Ballerina Cappuccina.
- Espressona Signora — Said to be Ballerina Cappuccina's sister, completing the caffeinated family.
- Armadillo Crocodillo — An armadillo tucked inside a coconut, named by Euronews among the notable early creatures.
- Boneca Ambalabu — A frog-tire hybrid, cited by la Repubblica in its original roll-call.
- Tus tus tus tus tus Kaktus — A cactus-themed character linked into Lirili Larila's wider affiliation group.
- Unta Tob Tobi Tob — A character connected to the Lirili Larila circle in fan databases.
- Garamammaram — An occasional "figure-blender" character from related mock-Italian rhyming content; its pairing and origin vary by source, so treat its details as fan-assembled.
A note on completeness and accuracy. The Italian Brainrot "universe" is sprawling, crowdsourced and constantly shifting — new characters are minted weekly by fans with free AI tools, and many are documented inconsistently across sources. This list records the figures best established by Wikipedia, Know Your Meme and press coverage, plus well-attested recurring characters. If a character seems missing, it was likely added after publication or is too obscure to verify reliably.
